2007-2008 AMFY Waves Swim Team Coaches

Head Coach Dawn Schwieterman

 Dawn is excited about the upcoming season.  She has eighteen years of  combined experience in the sport as a swimmer and a coach.  She has been with the AMFY program nine years and also has been the Marion Local High School swim coach for nine years.

Assistant Coach Matt May

Matt May is no stranger to the AMFY program as he has coached with us for the past eight years.  He has twenty-one years of combined experience in the sport with seven years of high school experience.  He will continue to be the head coach for Celina High School but plans to work with the 12 and under age groups this year.

Assistant Coach Marscia Fleagle

 Marscia looks forward to serving the AMFY Waves swim team this year working one night a week with the older swimmers and two nights with the 12 and UNDER swimmers.  She is especially blessed with the talent of working well with larger groups of children as she has been successfully home schooling her ten children.  She has coached with the St Marys Seahawks for the past eight years, and has taught stroke development to all age groups.

Assistant Coach Demi Goldman

 Demi is thrilled to be one of the 8 and UNDER AMFY coaches this year.  She has been on a swim team since the age of 6 including 12 years as a Celina Dolphin, 4 years as a Celina Bulldog and 3 years as an AMFY Wave.  Not only has she participated as a swimmer, but she has also served as a public and private swim lesson instructor.  Demi has also been a lifeguard at Bryson Pool for 4 summers and this past summer served as an assistant manager. Demi is currently employed by the Auglaize Mercer YMCA as a lifeguard and instructor and has worked there for the past 2 1/2 years.
